Pulse Connect Fails in OSX Sierra

I get the Failed to connect to the Pulse Secure service messages when I try to use Pulse Secure on OSX Sierra.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. It lets me add the connection, it connects and takes my login credentials... and then the main Pulse Secure client window goes empty. Trying to re-add the server to my list gets me the error message.

Anyone know of a fix or a workaround?

Disclaimer: I'm well aware Sierra is in beta. That's why I'm in the Apple developer program. Reporting issues during the beta phase is kind of the point.

Looks like somebody on the Developer forum already found a workaround. Oddly enough, the workaround is to install v5.0.3. Weird, but it does work.

Now 5.0.3 is broken too (at least for me) as of Sierra Public Beta 2 (16A254g). The connections are gone in the UI, and dsAccessService crashes continuously:

@sjlee: I'm on Beta 3 without any issues. Maybe try the upgrade? Then maybe uninstall/reinstall Pulse Secure 5.0.3 if that doesn't help?

Update: I uninstalled it completely and reinstalled, and that made the problem go away.

I can't believe I called it OSX Sierra. Sorry, old habits. Of course I meant macOS Sierra!

Thank you for letting us know that beta3 may be working
We are aware of an issue with dsAccessService and are investigating that; I will pass on the feedback that you are seeing success with beta3

That's not quite what I said. I said I was on Beta 3 and having no issues using client version 5.0.x. Anything 5.1 or 5.2 still doesn't work. Not sure what you guys changed in those versions but it seems to be breaking under Sierra.

    IPv6Freely,

I've tested the same with the latest 5.2R3 client and found the same issues with MacOS Sierra. We are looking into the issue.

Looks like Beta 5 breaks even Pulse 3.0.5. Ouch.

the same for sierra 10.12 Beta (16A313a). does not allow to set connections.
when clicking on ADD, (or connect) a dialog says:

Failed to connect to the Pulse Secure service.

Uninstall Pulse Secure, and go find an old 5.0.3 version of Junos Pulse. It will work.

Nevermind, get 5.2.5. It fixes the Sierra issues.

FYI: Pulse Connect Secure 5.2.5 (869) works on macOS Sierra.
